Moving....

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that we got a second offer on our house. We finally put our nursery up and what do you know, we sold the house. Oh well, God has a plan, but we just can't figure out what it is. If all goes well with the inspection, we will be out of the house by November 15th at the latest. We will move into my parent's cabin. They will be sticking around for a few weeks after the baby is born. After that, they will move to their Florida home and we will stay in their cabin until our house is finished.

The Safari Nursery

Hi everyone,

Sorry that it has been so long. We finally completed our Safari Nursery two weeks ago.

Mom Parrott refinished a dresser and hutch that Russ used when he was a child. The dresser turned out perfect! We put all of the sutffed animals on the hutch portion. There are even little animals on the drawer knobs. Mom Parrott also refinished a cute little night stand for us.

We put up our $29.50 crib (we think this was mismarked, but when they checked it, it said $29.50 even though it was $150.00 online).

My mom finished the quilt and it looks awesome! We put the full bed upstairs when we bought a queen bed for the guest room. This way, mommy can take a nap when baby does. My mom also made a safari pillows, a valence, and a lamp.

The nursery is now my favorite room in the whole house.

Ryan and Kyle's Baptism

Hi all,

I just wanted to share pictures of the twin's baptism. We are so excited to be Ryan's Godparents. We love those boys so much. They both enjoy sitting on their cousin! It is amazing how handy the baby bump is when holding another baby.

Belly Pictures

Well,

I was asked for belly pictures...so here they are. I don't quite get the "feeling beautiful being pregnant" thing. I just feel chubby and I keep growing out of all of my clothes. We took some pictures at Jeremy & Julie's Wedding. So here they are...I was not really happy with how they turned out, because my arms look gigantic. UGH!
We had a really cool picture of my belly with the sunset in the background (the glowing baby pic), but it was on Russ' phone and it died when he went down the slide in the innovation clubshouse at work. We may have to take a few more pictures because I am as big as a house at 35 weeks.

The Cousins

Kyle and Ryan

Hi all,

I just wanted to show off picture of the cousins. We are so excited to be having a baby boy because he will be so close in age to Ry & Ky. Our little nephews were born on April 24th. They are the biggest cuties and I know they are going to be awesome big cousins for our baby boy.

Meet the Family: The baby makes 5!

Fila and Diadora chilling out at home!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to show off pictures of the rest of the family. Russ and I currently have 2 4-legged baby girls. They are terrier mixes that we saved from the pound.

We got Fila (named after her white shoes and mittens) in March of 2006 from the Warsaw Animal Welfare League. We were told that she was born on a farm and her mother was a 20 +lb terrier. Nonetheless, she looked like a lab and Russ wanted a big lab to run with that would also look great in his big new truck. When we got her, she didn't have as long of whiskers (she looked more like lab) and her paws were huge. She ended up only being 50 lbs, but she is all muscle. She is a super sporty dog who loves to go running with dad, chase squirrels, and swim. We think her father was a pointer or some kind of hunting dog because she points all of the time. She will be 2 on December 27th. She is finally growing up and maturing. She was so hyper as a young puppy that we ended up getting Dora for her as a playmate.

I conned Russ into getting Diadora (also named for her white shoes and mittens) as my Christmas present. We found her on http://www.petfinder.com/. This is an awesome site to find animals in need of a home. Anyway, I was addicted to the site because I thought Fila needed a sister or brother. When we found Dora, I knew we had to get her. We drove up to a foster home in Sturgis, Michican to pick up our second baby in November of 2006. Dora was found in a box sometime in October with 3 other siblings. 2 of them died right away and Dora and her sister were the only ones to survive. They couldn't tell how old she was because she was starving and flee ridden. We think she was born in late September or October. The foster parents took great care of her and told me that hopefully she would be about a 25 lb- 35 lb dog. (We wanted a smaller dog that would be big enough to play with Fila.) She was supposed to be my lap dog...well, she definitely loves to eat and we think she is a terrier-lab mix. Dora is also 50 lbs, but she is a few inches shorter than Fila. Dora's build is more lab and she will eat almost anything.

The picture on http://www.petfinder.com/ that made me determined to adopt baby Dora.

The girls are a pair. They love to play chase and bite ear They love to hang out together and would rather play with each other than their mom and dad.

So basically, we love our girls, but we are worried about how they will handle the baby.

Fila is a dogs dog...when we got Dora, she wasn't jealous at all. Anytime Dora would play with us, she would bring a toy over and steal Dora away. I think Fila thought that Dora was her present...and she kinda was. Fila used to be very hyper and sometimes annoy baby Dora, but now Fila has matured and the roles have changed. Dora is constantly trying to eat Fila's ear. Dora could be more of a people's dog, but she loves playing with her sister. We hope that they will take care of each other.

I am definitely taking advice on how to balance the dogs and our new baby. We live right across from a park, so the girls are pretty good with kids. I just hope that the girls will keep each other company.
Please feel free to post some advice.
